Rangers need to up their performance, yeah it’s a friendly, but been slow so far.

Olympiacos lead, ball across and volleyed in. Really poor first half from Rangers compounded with that goal. 0-1

Cantwell goes down under GK challenge. Looked soft and Olympiacos aren’t happy, Iborra is cautioned for his protests.

57 mins – GOAL! 1-2 Olympiacos. Scrambled in by Carvalho but Rangers poor defensively, looked like Barisic is unnecessarily deep without benefit of replay

70 mins – GOAL! 1-3 Olympiacos. Down the left again, Lundstram slow to the cut back and it seemed to go through everyone as an unmatched run in.
To be honest, despite a better second half, it’s no less than the Greeks deserve.

Difficult evening for Rangers defensively, compounded with poor goals lost in a friendly defeat to Olympiacos. First half started well and a Rasping drive by Raskin well saved, only a Lammers effort was only other effort by Rangers as they went in to a late volley.
Second half started and Rangers back on terms, Cantwell controversially down under a GK challenge gave Tavernier the chance to equalise from the spot which he duly did.
That lasted two mins before Rangers were behind again. Caught deep and ball squares across and then scrambled home. The third again down the left hand side, squared back, no one tracking the run and slow to react as the shot went through everyone.
Rangers couldn’t seem to grip with runners or the slickness of passing, worryingly off it the whole game. A few efforts in the second never really troubled the Greeks.
Rangers need an uplift quickly. It’s a friendly, it’s a fitness exercise, but a long way from being ready.
