Barisic injured 🤕
He seemed to pull up within 30 seconds of kick off, seems a thigh issue. Has tried to continue but Yilmaz will replace him.
15 mins – SHOT! Dessers on the turn after Wright had played in Tavernier, didn’t connect but a good move.
17 mins – GOAAALLL! Break in midfield and Sima is away, he can square it to Dessers but fires in himself superbly. 1-0 Rangers
27 mins – More pressure from a corner, It bounced about, few blocked efforts, a penalty shout but Hibs survive. VAR did check the penalty also, nothing given.
43 mins – GOALLLL! Raskin with a terrific long range strike which catches Marshall as it was early.
HALF TIME – Rangers 2 Hibs 0
Rangers pushing, more intent to the play and thoroughly deserve to lead 2-0 at the break. Two good finished from Sima and Raskin, but the passing sharper and with more purpose.
This won’t be fixed in one game, it’s a marathon as the manager has said but that’s a half with real encouragement.

51 mins – Great play from Wright, intercepts and his cross is stabbed towards goal by Dessers but lacks a finish.
54 mins – POST! Lammers should score but thrashes the post when it was a clear opportunity!

Lovely ball by Lammers and Dessers rounds gk then his shot is blocked and Sima thrashes it in. Well deserved double for Sima.

Cyriel Dessers rolls in a 4th after a superb pass by Cantwell! That was a lovely well deserved finish front the striker.

90+ mins- What a chance as Raskin goes one on one after a terrific pass from McCausland, he takes too long though! Should have got his shot away!

Summary
Really positive afternoon for Rangers throughout with good performances individually and a real growth in the team as the game went on.
Four good goals and the team moved it quicker, with more intent and purpose.
If that is a small indication of what is to come then we can look forward to the Philippe Clement reign. But he wasn’t overly impressed post match, he is demanding and has high standards which is extremely welcomed.
A good afternoon for Rangers.
Four Lads Had A Dream 
I won’t get carried away, these players have shown they can put in good performances, it’s when they’re under real pressure that they have continually let us down. I’ll start to feel more optimistic if/when they show up and perform in high pressure situations.

I was restricted to listening on radio and for the most part was pleased with what I heard. Much improved performance and goals as well, brilliant start for our new manager. The pundits seemed reluctant to give Rangers too much praise and concentrated more on how poor hibs were. It’s early days but if this is how things are going to improve and apparently get better then I for one will be highly delighted. Well done to all.
C’mon the Rangers.

Too early to say I feel vindicated but I have had said several times we have good players that need confidence direction and a style of play and a good manager is all that is needed. First test passed delighted. Keep this going the future is orange and blue
