I defy anyone who has got anything done these last few days. Every spare minute and second spent day dreaming about Seville. I’ve tried not to think about it but it’s impossible not too, this could be so monumental. The prestige, the glory, European title for the club, Champions league qualification, financial huge.
Then there’s the knock on effect with budgets, possible transfers in and players signing new deals. It’s all absolutely massive and it’s only ninety minutes away.
But for today that has to be put aside as Dundee Utd come to Ibrox. The league, sadly, is all but lost but it remains important it is not won outright by our mistakes and we keep this momentum going.

27 mins – A Rangers corner is deflected towards goal after Ramsey headed flick but easily saved.
31 mins – CHANCE! Connor Goldson with a lovely looped pass, Sakala takes a touch then cuts back in but his effort is poor and wide!
44 mins – POST! Wright inside and ball breaks to Ramsey who’s shot spins off the post, the flag is up but that was dubious to say the least.

Lovely by Ramsey and his looped pass to Sakala is on point, the goalkeeper onrushing cleans him out for a clear spot kick.

60 mins – Lovely play by Amad as he controls a King pass, he explodes down the wing to square to Sakala who’s effort is deflected wide. Brilliant by Amad.

Full time summary
Pre season friendly vibes from the first half in what was a stroll for Rangers minus taking the lead. Some good football throughout and big chances for Sakala and Arfield led to good saves from Siegrist in the Utd goal.
Much same second half as Rangers found the ball to break Utd resistance for Sakala who was taken down for the penalty. Tavernier converted and it was no more than Rangers deserved. Amad made it two in a very good cameo for him after a lovely pass by Sakala.
The big pluses, the youngsters of King, McCann, Devine who got game time as well as an exciting spell from the excellent and exciting Alex Lowry.
An easy game for Rangers against Utd clearly in holiday mode already but a professional job that keeps the feel good factor high.
Brief respite away from thinking about Seville, at least for an hour or two
