Rangers finish Ibrox campaign with confident victory

It’s the final home game of the season as Rangers welcome Ross County to Ibrox. It’s another warm up, with nothing to play for in the game for Rangers, except keeping the players ticking over before next weeks cup final double header.

A strong team tonight including Alex Lowry a week before the big event in Seville and I’d predict we will use all the subs before a completely different side at the weekend.

Again Rangers will look to avoid injuries but we also have to keep players sharp so I think we will get an energetic and confident performance.

Ross County still have a chance of Europe so will come and look to cause us problems and with 18 goals shared in previous league matches, this threatens to be a free flowing attacking match.

Rangers team this evening- McGregor, Tavernier, Bassey, Balogun, Goldson, Kamara, Lundstram, Lowry, Kent, Wright, Aribo

Subs – McLaughlin, Balogun, Sands, King, Amad, Davis, Ramsey, Fashion JR, Arfield

Good luck Rangers

Full time summary

A confident Rangers performance as they enjoyed themselves on a nice Ibrox evening. Dominating the first half they created numerous chances with two goals to show for their efforts.

A strong performance throughout the team individually but Alex Lowry sticking out like a sore thumb with a confidence in passing evident. A lovely give and go to create the penalty an insight into his thinking, he has a rare gift to see a pass others might not. He wasn’t the only one with Scott Wright and Joe Aribo also impressive.

A second half interrupted by substitutions and a team clearly aware of bigger challenges ahead, Rangers took the foot of the gas somewhat with Ross County seemingly uninterested. That until Jordan White curled in a great long range effort to give County some hope.

Rangers upped the gears and a third made the points safe in a game they dominated comfortably. A bonus fourth thoroughly deserved for Amad Diallo after another good cameo.

A confident professional performance throughout Rangers will be delighted with their nights work and now go into the final league weekend able to rotate and rest players ahead of next weeks double final challenge.

Sevilla and Hampden await a confident Rangers side and we look in good shape for it.
