Rangers Women host derby rivals Celtic on Saturday in a 5.15pm kick off at Broadwood. Rangers top the table on goal difference having won nine out of the ten league games so far.
Just one draw so far against Glasgow City, last Sunday at Petershill, as Rangers battled back from a harshly conceded penalty kick. With the league being so close it is these games which are considered key and Saturday’s game is no different.
Celtic trail Rangers by just one point with nine wins and one defeat in their opening games so this is a huge game for everyone involved.

Jenny Danielsson arrived in Glasgow this summer from Swedish side AIK. The vastly experienced Finland international forward has settled well in Glasgow and already showed flashes of her brilliance.
With several goals already for the club, fans have taken to her instantly and she has an elegant style. At times you look for her and she can be on the edges of games then burst into life.
She likes to pop the ball around a lot with quick short passes and has been a key player for Rangers so far. To describe her to those that haven’t seen her, I would say she is the link between midfield and attack, almost playing a free role in the side.
She is capable of brilliance in a flash and technically very good, fans already saw this with a wonderful strike in off the cross bar at Hamilton.
Jenny is enjoying life in Glasgow and kindly spoke to me after Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Glasgow City.

Jenny, Saturday’s match against Celtic is your first Old Firm, how excited are you for the game?
‘Yeah! I’m very excited! I’ve heard a lot about it so I really hope we are going to get a good game, like today’s game with Glasgow City was, so yeah now all about just getting ready for the game!’
On the back of the 1-1 draw with Glasgow City, you’ll be looking to get back to winning ways in this one
‘Yeah, obviously we will go for the win. 1-1 is probably not good enough and not to our standard, we should be winning every game, only 3 points is what matters!’
How much do you know about the Old Firm derby and what have you been told in the build up?
‘We haven’t focused too much on Celtic yet or how the match will turn out (our tactical preparation). It’s going to be massive though and maybe it’s good I don’t know too much about it so I don’t get too anxious or nervous about it’
What about you? How are settling in at Rangers?
‘Loving it! All the girls are so professional, I settled kinda quick to the team. All the players and the staff are such nice people, I think it’s only gonna get better from here!’
What about the weather?! (Joke, it was freezing during this recording!)
‘Questionable!’
