Cantwell brilliantly anticipates the slack touch and is then taken down, brilliant from Todd.
6 mins – GOALLLLL! Tavernier tucks away the penalty and Rangers lead! 1-0
13 mins – Douline caution Servette 📒
15 mins – GOALLL! 2-0! DESSERS!
Brilliant from Souttar from the back, 1-2 then releases Barisic and he puts it a plate for Dessers!
17 mins – Raskin volleys just wide.
37 mins – Raskin 1-2 with Lammers and it’s the former who steers the cut back wide, terrific play and a better break. Remains 2-0!
43 mins – Penalty to Servette, Var decision. Handball against Lammers. Bedia scores 2-1.

Much better first half, we should be further ahead, then caught by a sucker punch goal. More decisive on the break and with opportunities necessary but more chances will come. Midfield fluency and tempo a lot better. Important to start second half same intensity as first

54 mins – Tavernier cross is swept towards goal by Lammers, brilliant save by Mall stops it being 3. Great play by Rangers.

60 mins – RED! Servette down to ten, Douline for a wild hack on Cantwell. 2-1 60 mins gone. 📒📕
63 mins – Nice snap shot by Danilo but easily saved.
SUB – OFF Danilo, ON Sima
70 mins – SAVE! Mall again denies Dessers from Tavernier corner, almost a vital third.
77 mins – SUBS OFF Jack, Lammers, ON Cifuentes, Dowell
80 mins – Snap shot by Sima is saved by Mall.

Strong first half for Rangers is set aside by a lacklustre second. 2-0 up and flying, Lammers misses a guilt edge chance in first to make it three then minutes later it’s 2-1 after a Var penalty decision.
Rangers couldn’t really get going in the second, keeper with two good saves from Lammers and a smart Dessers effort from a corner. But largely, it was uninspiring at times against ten men Servette who were disciplined and Rangers couldn’t break them down.
Four Lads Had A Dream 
I’m not doing cartwheels after that result but I’m happy with the win regardless of how narrow. The big disappointment is it could and should have been more. A blistering start is great but that tempo has to last the whole game. We bacame sluggish and unsure when it slosed down and we seemed to run out of ideas. The striker problem remains and what I do not understand is there is a proven goal scorer just along the M8 in Shankland. Why didn’t we go for him, he’s a bluenose and would have given us goals. Some people argue he’s not a european standard striker but you need someone to score the goals to get there in the first place. Rangers create enough chances so he would have helped our goals for column immensely. Anyone agree? Cmon the rangers.

No width, no pace and at times too predictable.
Sorry to say it but if this keeps up it’ll be a long frustrating season.
