Manager Malky Thomson post match reaction
Rangers today host Glasgow City in a game some consider a must win. Rangers are seven behind the league leaders with a game in hand which will be played this Wednesday at home to Aberdeen. There is plenty of fixtures left this season and various games to be played so there is still a long way to go regardless of what happens this afternoon.
But a home game and a chance to put down a marker is something the champions must strive to do. It was 1-1 last time the sides met at Petershill and both teams are close in quality. A victory for City would leave Rangers a long way behind but victory and it’s game on once more.
Rangers bounced back to winning ways with a seven nil victory away to Motherwell last weekend and that was perfectly timed according to manager Malky Thomson. Rangers moved the ball well and pressurised in all the right places, the same performance today would be welcomed.
